The Los Angeles Italian Festival Opera

OCTOBER 5, 2024 4pm-10pm: The Los Angeles Italian Festival coalesces audience experience, Italian culture, and world-class artistry. Opera began in Italy more than four-centuries ago when communities gathered in-fields to witness these first “plays set to music.” The immense success of these “works” (the literal translation of the word “opera” from Italian) gave birth to what became a global phenomenon, and one of the first ways our ancestors shared their cultures. Today, the Los Angeles Italian Festival similarly invites communities, friends and families to gather again to share in a rich celebration of the Italian-American culture as we honor this legacy started in Italy.
